The Wassell Academy Program
The Wassell
Academy is a non-denominational Christian program of education that
specializes in the teaching of children in a small classroom
environment with individualized instruction. Here each child is
challenged at his/her own developmental level, regardless of
chronological age.
This program is
beneficial for all students, including those whose academic success
is compromised in the classroom due to learning differences and
attention problems.
The staff
at Wassell Academy creates learning environments in which each
child has a chance to grow and where each teacher gets to know
every child as an individual and strives to understand the needs
and potential of that child.Teachers give encouragement, support,
guidance and prayer. Wassell Academy is more
than just a school; It is a second family filled with caring
individuals who love your child as their
own.
The goal of the Wassell
Academy is to develop successful learners and believers. The
curriculum prepares students to participate responsibly in society.
It allows them to access, organize and communicate information and
to adapt to the competitive world. It prepares them to identify and
utilize their talents and to be independent learners. Experiences
are planned that strengthen the whole child; intellectual, physical
and social-emotional growth are all valued. The atmosphere is warm,
loving and supportive. We believe education must be enjoyable to
allow students to form a positive image of school and learning. We
realize the importance of providing quality teaching
and learning activities for
all students.
